The 2019 Spring Dinner for Members of All-China, Provincial, Municipal, and Autonomous Regional (Macao) Youth Federations was held in the banquet hall of the Ritz-Carlton Macau. Nearly 200 members of Youth Federations and guests from Macao and various provinces and cities attended the dinner. The event aimed to strengthen the connection between the members and the guests, thus uniting the forces of all parties to jointly shoulder the responsibility of the times, dedicate to youth work and contribute to the development of Macao and the country. At dinner, Mok Chi Wai, Vice President of the All-China Youth Federation, delivered a speech.
Mok Chi Wai called on the Macao Youth Federation members to work together to make this year’s double celebrations a success
On behalf of members of the Macao Youth Federation, Mok expressed his gratitude to the SAR Government, the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR, and the All-China Youth Federation for their long-term support and cultivation. He pointed out that in 2018, the construction strategy of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was implemented steadily, which brought better development opportunities for Macao. As part of China, Macao is also actively participating in the great cause of developing the country, striving to promote the construction of “One Center” & “One Platform”, and play its due role in the overall development of the country. He also said that the Fourth Standing Committee (Expanded) Meeting of the 12th All-China Youth Federation held at the end of 2018 affirmed the progress in various work made by the Youth Federation in the past year. The Federation would continue to explore innovative work methods for the youth of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, while contributing to the implementation of “One Country, Two Systems” and the long-term prosperity and stability of Hong Kong and Macao. He also mentioned that this year was the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China, as well as the 20th anniversary of Macao’s return to the motherland and the 100th anniversary of the May Fourth Movement. He pointed out that in this crucial year, all the members of the Macao Youth Federation should unite as one to stand taller, look farther, while caring more about the country’s development and national governance strategy. The members should build and take advantage of the Youth Federation's influence by taking a proactive role in reaching out to the youth groups that they are connected with. They should help the youth, serve the youth, and solve the problems encountered by the youth, leading them to work together for the construction of Macao and the country with a pragmatic attitude.
